Just as shelter, food, and clothes are required for a person to survive. Similarly, education plays a vital role in the survival too. This is the reason why the United Nations has declared education as a fundamental human right. The Government of India has also made education compulsory for children up to 14 years of age. A large number of rural areas in the country still overlook the importance of education and continue to remain undeveloped. This is why it is necessary to create awareness about education.
As per the 2011 census, the literacy rate in India has grown to 74.04 per cent. However, it remains untouched in many villages, towns, and cities. Education is a far away dream in such areas because the society restricts them from doing so or lacks the appropriate environment. Restaurants, homes, and construction sights are some of the major places where you can spot little children give up on education due to such reasons. An entire lifetime is spent living away from the benefits of education. Such causes lead to negative circles of theft, poverty, disappointment, malnourishment, and a regressive society as a whole.
It is the approach towards education that requires an alteration. There is no substitute for education. Many foundations and NGOs across the country work towards eliminating such approach by visiting villages and making everyone aware of its need. Many young volunteers actively participate towards driving the underprivileged section of the society towards a noble cause. Most of the colleges have made it compulsory for students to complete certain hours of NGO work to ensure that measures towards spreading education are taken effectively. All children are born to create a future of their own and education is the best platform to help them do so.
Therefore, those who may not have sufficient funds must take education loans to pursue their dreams. The presence of so many financial companies has made it possible for every student to follow the path of success. It also makes students self-confident and independent to face any challenges in life as they have to repay the money by earning a job for themselves. Education is one of the most immediate necessities that requires utmost attention from people across the country. Children’s right to education is not only about their progress but it is also about an identity that they create for themselves as they grow. It shapes their personality and lays the foundation of humans who have aspirations. Let us work towards a world where no child is devoid of education.
